On point at Meat Point

Pasha Sultan Platters…. enough to feed a small army

A good friend had a birthday party back in December at a Turkish restaurant in a tiny plaza near Keele and Wilson. We had huge, raised platters of an assortment of juicy, grilled meats. Ever since, I’ve wanted to drag my husband there to try it out.

He isn’t always a fan of most Turkish and Mediterranean food but he agreed to go with me for my birthday dinner. He made fun of the name and the limited parking, but he changed his tune once he tried the food.

He liked it so much that in just over a week we will be taking his cousin’s family there for dinner.

The place has a laid-back, modern, simple decor and some nice grey accent brick walls. I love the cloud-soft fresh bread that they bring to the table and ate far too much of it with the house dips before my order arrived. Thankfully my order arrived before I ate the whole basket and I had room left for the highlight of this place, the MEAT.

I love me some grilled meat.

Their lentil soup is pretty good and comforting and I’m sure they have salads…. but vegetarians, please, just don’t.

the Meat Shish. Yes, some pieces of meat were already missing when this picture was taken…

This place gets an A in my books for meat and bread. I look forward to coming back and eventually trying their appetisers and their Turkish breakfast.
